It all begins by harvesting the best indigenous low density koa wood for not only its stunning looks but more importantly its unique tonal properties which some say can range from a warm sounding Mahogany to a brighter sounding Rosewood. Well balanced for fingerstylist and superbly defined warmth and projection for players that demand the ultimate in playability, each Imperial Koa Model features scalloped forward shifted cadinery designed X bracing that allows the soundboard to freely radiate at high sound pressure levels can produce. Utilizing this same mindset on the back and sides while adding the warmth of rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge, the Imperial Koa Series acoustics are quite literally in a class by themselves!
